"001 - Modern Farlands"

Description:

A-001, also known as the "Modern Farlands" is a Minecraft phenomenon based anomaly that manifests as (as the name implies) the Farlands. A terrain generation bug that appeared within the early versions of Minecraft, caused when the noise generators responsible for creating the shape of terrain stopped functioning properly. Where A-001 differs from its non-anomalous counterpart is how it generates within the modern copies of Minecraft (extending from version 1.21 and beyond).

Rather than being created when the terrain noise generators stop functioning as intended, it seems A-001 has no distinct pattern on where or why it spawns. It's behaviors when it comes to location only have a single common pattern, that being it spawns far away from spawn. Though, this fact is only a theory, it is unknown if A-001 can be found within locations close to the spawn. Even when looking throughout the files of copies of Minecraft where the anomaly has been found, there is no distinction between them and that of a normal copy of the game. This enigmatic nature is the sole reason it is documented here on S.A.O.R. today.
